I randomly got into the Kadena Ambassador program and this is what I’ve found out.
Nobody seems to know about this project, right?
I’ve finally figured out why that is, and it’s the most beautiful marketing mess I’ve ever seen. You will soon find out why.
First let me offer a little context.
I am not a very tech-savvy person. I know little more than the fundamentals of blockchain technology, so how did I become obsessed with this project and absolutely can’t get enough of it?
Like most of the Kadena Community, we came here through word of mouth, if you were lucky enough to hear of it.
What seemed to be the premise was that Proof of Work technology was the past but also the future of blockchain. Kadena had solved what the trillion dollar Bitcoin and Ethereum couldn’t, with only a handful of people.
It is hard to believe that initially, but those are just facts. You can do the research yourself.
Why is that relevant?
Everyone, including Ethereum, seems to move away from Proof of Work and that means no more mining and an increased security risk.
All the crypto space right now seems to be pivoting to Proof of Stake.
Kadena, however, remains that one silent kid in the classroom that stays behind after hours, ignores the trends and digital noise, and confidently perfects his craft to the point where there is just no competition left at the end.
It is the kind of mindset that creates heroes in popular culture, and in the crypto space, a product so big that everyone will wonder how come they did not see it coming.
But you know who won’t have that issue?
The Kadena Community.
This group of people saw it coming from miles away and it has to be the most radiant, talented and smart group of people I ever encountered online and beyond.
I was lucky enough to get invited to participate in the Kadena Ambassador program, led by Jeffrey Ou, the Operations Official from Kadena.
For many of us the Kadenians group has turned into an addiction for the sheer wisdom and generally just the positive vibes we are all getting from it.
The majority of the group, I consider to be true visionaries and most of them will be laughing all the way to the bank in the foreseeable future. Kadenians already know why that is.
As a bonus, I also got to meet the team!
In our first official Ambassador meeting we got to meet Douglas Beardsley (Head of Engineering), Francesco Melpignano (Business Development) and of course Jeffrey Ou was also there to skilfully moderate the whole show.
It couldn’t have been more than 5 minutes after the meeting started when I realised how truly special and unique the team was.
There was so much passion coming from them, to the point where it was truly humbling.
Douglas Beardsley, also known on the Kadenians as MightyByte was talking with the wisdom of a true professional and the passion of young child, totally absorbed and proud of what they have achieved so far.
Francesco was very coolheaded, he really wanted to learn as much as he could from the community and was eager to listen.
When confronted with the subject of other projects and tokenomics, he was more worried about a product that will be here in 100 years rather than discuss ways to quickly pump the market value of KDA.
From a marketing point of view, they have been getting some criticism as to why they haven’t done more in regards to that.
And naturally, everybody wants to know the answer to only one question.
Does their marketing suck?
Short answer is, it doesn’t.
It’s just harder to see with the naked eye. Let me explain why.
As a marketing expert I think that there is something very romantic about a team seeking perfection together, with regards to nothing else.
If we marketers can capitalise that authenticity that just speaks to people organically, combined with an astonishing product that Kadena already is, it feels like striking gold.
The team is so obsessed with their product that overlooking marketing becomes a necessity in order for them to remain uncompromised in delivering.
Where everyone is trying to create the next tokenomics and pump their project, Kadena remains truly authentic and humble.
That is why Kadena silently changed the crypto space and nobody even noticed yet.
Because of team members like Stuart Haber, one of the most cited authors in Satoshi’s paper and one of the pioneers of blockchain cryptography going stealthily under the radar, not making a big deal about it, when other projects would’ve yelled it from a box.
And the truth about capitalising their story is just that no one has done it so far and it was just a matter of time before someone saw it.
This is the reason why Kadena is the most beautiful marketing mess I have ever seen in the tech world so far and why everyone I know just fell in love with the project.
So where is the project right now?
In retrospect what impressed me the most is the speed at which they’ve burned through their roadmap.
Kadena has already developed enough tech to rival most of the top 10 cryptocurrency companies in terms of market cap.
For the Q1 of 2021 all the points have been accomplished before schedule and a couple of extra ones.
If their blockchain technology wasn’t enough, they are also launching a KadenaSwap (or a rebranded version of it), which will finally bring gas fees to a halt.
A lot of these things are hard to believe so I will just say it again, but slowly:
KadenaSwap. Ends. Gas Fees.
This is a list of upcoming features that Q2 will bring:
- Major Exchange Listing in early Q2
- Full re-skin/re-brand of Kadenaswap, and a Kadena.io website refresh
- Launch of Kadenaswap with Tokensoft kETH and kBTC, KDA, and at least one major new Kadena native token
- Production Chain Relay launch for Ethereum Bridge, and testnet bridges to Terra and/or Celo
- Wrapped KDA on Ethereum with market maker participation for listing in Uniswap and other DEXes
- Launch a new DAO focused on new initiatives on the Kadena platform and leveraging the Kadena treasury
- At least one NFT project launches on Kadena platform, and at least one major wallet integration completed
- Pact 4.0 with great new features to speed smart contract development and testing
And finally, some links that will help you connect with everybody.
